I want to thank JP and the staff at Anglers Alibi for an amazing week. The staff, food, fishing, and service was outstanding and well beyond my expectations. My dad and I had the time of our lives and memories for a lifetime. Want to go back already!! Captain John Perry, along with the professional guide team members, camp staff, and chef have created a fly fishing paradise along the Alagnak River in Bristol Bay, AK. Following an epic day on the water, another Angler's Alibi guest and I were watching a bear across the river from camp. He looked at me with a shrug and open palms and said, "How can you even begin to describe this to someone else? You can't. You just can't." Later, during our final day on the water, amid some lights-out silver salmon fishing, guide Lance provided the answer..."The Alagnak provides." Whether we were bending rods on countless chum salmon (fresh from the salt and eager to take a fly), painting the banks with streamers in pursuit of red hot silver salmon, or chasing an incredible variety of species within the amazing Alagnak River braids (we landed wild rainbow trout, grayling, arctic char, pink salmon, jack kings, whitefish, and pike while fishing from a badass jetboat with Capt. Landry), The Alagnak provided at every turn. The comfortable accommodations, excellent meals, incredible service, and finest happy hour porch on the planet make Angler's Alibi a MUST-FISH destination. Thanks to the entire Angler's Alibi crew for creating the best fishing trip of my life. A phenomenal lodge setup on a river with consistently great fishing for salmon and rainbow trout at the doorstep. There are limited guests per week and guide pairings change daily so the camraderie makes you think you're in Alaska with a group of buddies not just a sport in a big lodge. Beds are comfortable and "tents" are heated. Flush toilets and hot showers are always clean. It has every comfort you need without extra fluff that's so expensive in the Alaskan bush. The food is great and a big family style dinner every night continues the ambiance. Fly fishing is excellent even for the toughest target: king salmon. Lure fishing with conventional gear is also great. Definitely a great place for your soul and so much more than a fishing trip.
