The hospitality of Nanci and Heath is world class. The knowledge of their guides and the guides help is outstanding. They know how to fish the river and help you to have a great experience. I learned a lot and had a great time. It doesn't can't get any better than this. We have been to many lodges in British Columbia and Alaska the past ten years. We have been at Bear Trail four times and on a scale of 1 to 10 Nanci, Heath, Justin, Kate and the rest of the gang are an 11. Thanks to all of you for wonderful times on the Naknek, Alagnak and the Nush. 2007 August Myself and my friend were embarrased, hasseled and upset with the owner of BEAR TRAIL LODGE. The owner Donnalee made us do things customers should not do. Rude and the food was just average. High price lodging and AWFUL customer relations. FORGET ABOUT THIS PLACE choose some where else. I wanted to write this review for a long time... Now I am about to go to Anchorage / Seward Alaska with my wife for our 2nd honeymoon. BE WISE READ REVIEWS BEFORE making a decision.
